What a beautiful tribute to your son. As an Army Mom, I can only imagine your anguish as you waited for news, and your grief when you learned of the loss of your dear son. We owe you a deep debt of gratitude for continuing his mission to serve his country by doing so in his name. He is not forgotten - and you represent the very best of this great country. You - and he - will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I wanted to take a few minutes to recognize the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. As a Clermont County native I am so proud to be from a place that takes care of an supports its troops and veterans. In 2010 my cousin Missy Bauer's husband Joseph Bauer was killed in Afghanistan. I am sorrowful everytime I hear that we have lost one of our boys. Thank you so much for all you do. Your organization and all the servicemen and women are in my prayers.

Hello,
I wanted to say thank you! Today I received your boxes with baby wipes and diapers for the local baby orphanage. I greatly appreciate your support not only for me, but for everyone else that you support. Without your help I would not be able to make a change in the childrens' life. Again thank you and keep doing what you're doing because we as troops really appreciate it. Forever and always!

hello keith,
how are you? Im doing pretty good. I was wanting first and for most to thank u for raising such incredible boys. Thanks on behalf of myself and my family. We appreciate ur son putting his lif on the line for all of our freedon. You and matts mom has done such a great job helping our community relize how much our soldiers go through for us and our country. Also that they deserve our respect, graditute and prayers. I also am sorry that matt had to be one of our fallen heros. My family and our church would lkie to send christmas cards to our troops and vetrans. and care packages. I was wondering if u could help us find out how to do this. we went to our local vetrans office and they said there wasnt a list of where to send them to. I was wondering if u could help. Thank u so much. I appreciate u and ur family so much. Thanks for taking the time to read this. May god bless u and happy holidays.

Pleasant Run Elementary
The students, staff and PTA of Pleasant Run Elementary want to thank you for your help with shipping our packages, cards and ornaments to Afghanistan. It is an amazing thing you are doing by supporting the troops and helping the people who want to contribute. We would not have succeeded in our "Snowflakes for Soldiers" event without your help!!!

Hi Keith! I spoke with you on facebook about six weeks ago regarding my son deployed in Afghanistan... He is doing well! I've been working overtime these past few weeks and have not been able to get to the Yellow Ribbon Support Center to volunteer, but will be able to in about six more weeks... In the meantime, I have decided to ask people to send donations to the center, based on the soldier's summertime wish list. If you get a chance, could you please let me know what you would need the most help with, volunteer wise, beginning in November? Also, if you need help in any other way, please let me know and I'll do my best!! Co-ordinating additional fundraisers, donations etc....??? Let me know!! I have many friends in the entertainment field that would be happy to donate their time to help support our troops and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center, including myself!
In the meantime, thank you, sincerely, for all that you do for our troops. You are an inspiration to all of us!
Sincererly,
Dee Mohr

I've just been given your website. I've been helping other families and soldiers with this war on terrorism, but have been unemployed for 17 months now and am unable to send care packages myself. Please let me know how a family could give you their soldiers' address. I know of many now that could use any help they can have. Many of the soldiers in stan are in the fields and not getting meals. They depend on the snacks sent to them by care packages.
Also, I want you to know that I've cried this a.m. as I've read your website. Your son and your family was in my prayers when Matt was MIA. It was a bittersweet time for me when my oldest son and his unit came out of Iraq, but I knew there was still a soldier MIA. My prayers continued for Matt and his family. I'm glad the military kept the promise to "leave no comrade behind" and brought Matt home to rest to you. God Bless you for what you do to honor his memory and for all the troops still serving. It gives me chills that I'm able to pass Matt's story along and at the same time, help other soldiers. Thank you so very much. .......Anita

I belong to a motorcycle chapter in Boston, Mass. We have been attending Rolling Thunder in D.C. for the past six years. I have had the plesure of meeting Matt's day, Caroline (sorry if I got that wrong) was busy at the time, but I have written to hear and she sent back a beautiful letter. I will never forget seeing Matt's face, all over the tv, with his floppy hat and looking like a little boy..I have two sons, it broke my heart. I wore Matt's bracelet for years and was devastated when they found his remains. His name and face are etched into my mind and I cannot forget him. So to his parents I say God Bless, and to Matt, Happy Birthday and thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Do you have names of soldiers / sailors in need of care packages at this time? I have a group of friends who are helping to participate in a care package program; and at this time, we are in need of those in need of packages from "home". We have been working with a lady in Seattle who travels extensively on business and always asks soldiers and sailors that she meets in airports if there is anything they need or if they know of anyone in need. At the current time, she doesn't have names to provide, and there are 5 people on my waiting list who want to participate and are waiting for names. Seven of us have already participated and some want to take the names of more than one person.
If you have 5 or 6 names available now, please provide them to me; and we will make sure to get packages sent promptly.
Thanks so much,
Sharon Leonard, formerly of Cincinnati and now living in Austin.

Dear Keith,
Is there some way I can volunteer at the center? I am the mother of two sailors, one active duty, and one leaves for bootcamp in October 2011. I recently visited my son's church in San Diego, and felt God telling me to get involved when i returned home. His church, The Rock, has a military ministry, as they have a very large group of military memebers in the church. I am a single mother, I do work fulltime, but would like to help pack boxes, or any way you need help. I would be available on some weekends and I usually have a day off during the work week.

Hi Keith: Scott Snyder here from Dayspring Church (Where Charlotte Highfill attended, and you visited on a couple of occasions). I am travelling to Central Pennsylvania this week to share some of my saxophone music with my parents' church on Memorial Day weekend. I have decided to focus on patriotic music, and as part of my presentation, tell Matt's story, and the story of your family and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. Thank you for your continued work. Let us never forget. We think of Charlotte often, especially at softball season, I will always remember her pitching! God Bless. Scott Snyder
